I am finding it hard to believe that we only have 24 school days left in this school year! Although (like all of us), I am tired, exhausted, stressed, and SO ready for a break (#teachinginapandemic), I cannot believe how fast this year flew by (for me at least)! My kiddos have been absolute troopers and although I am saddened by the loss of memories/activities we missed out on this year due to the current pandemic, I know we have shared so many great memories, laughs, and hugs from a distance. As always, with the year nearing the end, I like planning and preparing for the following year and look forward to being one step closer to returning back to "normalcy" in the classroom.

Although grade assignments have not been officially announced, I know I will be remaining at my current school and I believe I will be teaching either Grade 1 or 1/2 again, which I of course am EXTREMELY happy about! Grade One is my jam! :) Anyways, I always get so excited for a fresh start and love the inspiration, motivation, and pure excitement a new school year brings.

Over the years I have spent a lot of money on my own items/resources/learning materials for my classroom, and quite honestly I don't mind. My kiddos and I spend more time in our classroom than in our own homes and it is important to me to love the environment I create for myself and my students. This of course is a personal preference, and by no means am I suggesting you need to spend your own money on your classroom.

Here are some of the things that I hope to purchase over the next little while for my classroom (links attached to the photos):

1. Personalized Library Stamp- Perfect for my classroom library!

2. Dry Erase Staff Liner- Perfect for creating lines for modelling letter formation/sentence writing on the whiteboard.

3. Desk Pets- I would like to try this as a form for positive reinforcement.

4. Events Bracelets- Write sight words on the bracelet and have students wear it during the week for encouraged practice.

5. Alphabet Sorting Tubs- I think I am most excited about this, definitely an investment for sure.

6. Match-A-Sound Phonemic Awareness Complete Box Set- Another exciting investment!
